Pelco Answers Demand for Large Format Monitors

Clovis, CA (March 1, 2007) –With the growth of industries like healthcare and education where video security is playing an ever-increasingly important role, the need to maximize the use of physical space is of paramount importance. In recognizing this trend, Pelco is proud to announce the addition of two new series of large format monitors designed to maximize space usage and viewing area. The 500 and 600 Series displays provide bigger multi screen images from quads, multiplexers, and digital video recorders, providing more image detail and making it easier to scrutinize scene detail from multiple cameras simultaneously.

The Pelco 500 Series large format LCD monitors have a thin profile that makes wall mounting very easy and maximizes space. The 500 Series has the added benefit of low energy consumption, a long life cycle with no burn-in, and excellent High Definition (HD) image quality. Available in five different screen sizes, the 500 Series models range from 23 to 42 inches in size.

The Pelco 600 Series large format Plasma monitors provide excellent HD image quality, true color reproduction with stunning detail, wide viewing angles, and slim space saving design. New pixel shifting technology, which optimizes display life when used to view static images, makes them ideal for video security applications. Three different screen sizes are available, including 42-, 50-, and 60-inch sizes.

Combined with the functionality of the Pelco Multiviewer, both the 500 and 600 Series can be used to view up to 60 images on a single monitor. The Multiviewer enables users to size and position image windows, adjust aspect ratios to suit image format, and assign image labels and/or on-screen borders for easy identification.
