- Press Release received 25th September 2007 -

Flying Start with Dutchmen for IP UserGroup in Amsterdam

London - United Kingdom Sep 25, 2007

The first IP UserGroup event to be held in the Netherlands got off to a flying start with an excellent educational seminar programme along with some of the very latest products in the exhibition area.

With some 70 guests and members converging for IP- in-Action LIVE from countries such as Belgium, France, Hungary and the UK as well as The Netherlands, the day provided a full presentational programme at an excellent venue, the Hotel Schiphol Airport A4 in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam.

The IP-in-Action LIVE programme is a series of focused educational and promotional events presenting Networked Security and Building Management Technology to a focused audience, with the aim to increase understanding and acceptance of IP Networked Technology across a wide range of applications.

The seminar programme was brimming with case study & technical presentations that included Special Guest Speaker, Iljitsch van Beijnum, an independent network consultant and author, representing the IPv6 Forum who presented "IPv6 - The New Internet and what it means to you". An enlightening session in which Iljitsch explained the need for IPv6 to replace IPv4, how it would effect businesses and the expected timescales for the changes.

With the day chaired by Andy Hennings of the IP UserGroup, the comprehensive programme also included:

"Surveillance, The Future Trends" - Telindus Surveillance Solutions.
"Mega-Pixel Cameras - The Resolution Revolution" - IQinVision
"Investing in IP Video" - IPfocus Magazine
"Wireless Mesh for Video Surveillance Applications" - Fluidmesh Networks
"High Performance Video at Extremely Low Bandwidth" - MOBOTIX AG
"Video Security Solutions - Transport Systems" - ATEME

The Exhibition Area was again very popular with the guests and provided an array of the very latest security products. Attendees had the opportunity to get "Hands- On" with the products and talk with the experts from:

ATEME, Fluidmesh Networks, Honeywell Security, Intellio Ltd., IIPSEC 2008, IQinVision, IPfocus Magazine, Maxxess Systems, MOBOTIX, Technetix, Tedas BV, Telindus Surveillance Solutions, Video Domain (Excell Security), Vigilant Technology and our Media Sponsor, Beveiliging Magazine.

Along with a buffet lunch, a networking dinner on the night before and complimentary drinks after the event with the compliments of IQinVision - the designer and manufacturer of the IQeye family of high performance network cameras, intelligent video processors and network video recording (NVR) systems - those attending found the FREE TO ATTEND event most informative, worthwhile and enjoyable.

"These events are excellent I specifically attended to listen to the presentation by van Beijnum, an independent network consultant and author, representing the IPv6 Forum who presented the important issues regarding IPv6" - Jeroen Verheijen, Optelicom-nkf
