Press Release - CONSEC 2007
ASSOCIATION OF SECURITY CONSULTANTS CONSEC 2007 - Tomorrow’s Risks Lord Peter Imbert, the Lord Lieutenant of London and former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and one of the esteemed Patrons of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC), will take the Chair at the ASC’s annual international conference, CONSEC, to be held on Thursday 08 November 2007 at the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon. He will introduce a number of eminent speakers, including Peter Clarke, Deputy Assistant Commissioner and Counter Terrorism Command, who will make the Keynote Address. Mr. Clarke has become a familiar figure on television, appearing on our screens following terrorist-related incidents to keep members of the public informed and asking for assistance in tracking down those who have changed the face of the capital and, indeed, the rest of the country. Other high profile speakers at the event will include Michael Charlton-Weedy (Chief Executive of the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College), Kevan McCrone (Counter Terrorist Section of the City of London Police) and Andy Williams (Regional Director Loss Prevention, Marriott Hotels International). For something a little out of the ordinary, Tim Stimpson (England and British Lions rugby player) will also be doing a presentation. Two other speakers will be confirmed at a later date. Major sponsor for the event will be Lenel Systems International Inc., and will be joined by other sponsors including SMT, Axis Communications, Integrated Design Limited, ISIS Ltd., JVC Professional Europe Ltd., MAXxess Systems Europe Ltd. and Salto Systems.
