Now I was wondering who would be the first to post about this ... and you didn't let me down Mick (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup_anim.gif)

It's certainly been a very long time coming, but it's here at last.

On reflection I think the timing of the publication is actually quite ... erm, interesting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) but I won't elaborate on that.

As for the best bit, well, I really wouldn't dare to suggest the cover (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'll try and have a proper read through it over the next few days and see what's what; but in less than 24 hours, it's already created a bit of a stir in the news and media.

Now how did I manage to get a mention (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

Incidentally I moved this thread into the published material section, so it's now well placed for a fuller discussion on the contents.

Thanks for highlighting the strategy Mick (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

There is certainly a lot to read and my first impression is it seems very ambitious but much of what is written seems to make sense.

Unless of course you read the Register article. The comments are quite amusing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I don't think so (IMG:style_emoticons/default/no.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Now call me overly empathic, but I somehow don't think Mr Page is all that happy with the Strategy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I had actually seen that article a couple of days ago, but I must admit the latest comments are somewhat ... predictable.

The one thing which seems absolutely astonishing given the importance and content of the report, is the scant level of publicity from the UK media organisations, and in particular the BBC, who have only given it an almost covert mention on a recent TV show.

When I think back to the coverage for "Talking CCTV", I find it quite extraordinary that certain outraged persons haven't been kicking down the doors at Broadcasting House. Oh well, still early days methinks.

Now in the interests of moving the discussion forward, any thoughts on the content, what's good and what's bad.

I'll have yet another read over the weekend, and maybe post some more detailed comments ... after you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
