1. Pelco and AMAG Integrate Digital Video, Access Control Systems

Clovis, CA (January 29, 2008) – Pelco and AMAG Technology have partnered to create a complete product integration of video, access control, intrusion and visitor management, biometrics and other security and building management functions.

“This powerful integration will provide system operators with the capability to easily determine the appropriate response to unusual events or security threats,” says Terry Carver, API Business Development Manager at Pelco. “Operators can view live and recorded video data simultaneously – providing faster alarm response time and dispatch of security personnel to the alarm location.”

According to Carver, the Pelco DX8000 and DX8100 series of digital video recorders and AMAG’s Symmetry access control system now work together to provide a solution for the recording, storing and retrieval of video-based intrusion and access control events. The integration will also help improve operator efficiency and reduce the training needed to operate and maintain the security system.

The DX8100 series is expandable to meet future security requirements, according to Pelco management, and also includes a Windows XP embedded operating system and a full-screen playback mode that provides easy video review. It also provides unlimited connections for live view through a Web browser with a multicasting-enabled network.

2. Popular Pelco DVRs Now Supported by NPower DNA

Clovis, CA, (January 29, 2008) – Pelco is pleased to announce a new technological collaboration with Open Options, Inc., a technology-based access control and software development company. The partnering of these two industry leaders has resulted in the development of a software management platform that allows Pelco DX8100 digital video recorders to seamlessly interface with Open Options NPower DNA security management system.

According to Terry Carver, API Business Development Manager for Pelco, this integration project was developed with the advanced Pelco X-Portal API and allows users of Open Options NPower DNA to view live or recorded video from any DX8100 on the network, thus eliminating the need for multiple monitoring stations and allowing quick access to video from alarms generated in the security management system. Cameras are easily associated with various access points, and in the event of an alarm the related video is available with a single click. The system also allows users to determine pre- and post-recording times for alarm video and supports single and multiple video viewing windows.

Expandable to meet future security requirements, the DX8100 series includes a Windows XP embedded operating system and a full-screen playback mode that provides easy video review. According to Pelco management, it also provides unlimited connections for live view through a Web browser in a multicasting-enabled network.

3. Pelco DVR and IP Solutions Now Integrated with DSX Access Control Systems

Clovis, CA, (January 29, 2008) – Pelco and DSX Access Systems, Inc. have partnered to provide seamless integration of Pelco advanced digital video recording systems and IP video management software with DSX access control systems. This collaboration provides a solution for the recording, storing and retrieval of video-based intrusion and access control events, allowing stored and live video from Pelco DX Series digital video recorders or the Endura Network Based Video System to be accessed from within the DSX WinDSX or WinDSX SQL software GUI (Graphical User Interface).

“This integration will provide additional market opportunities for both companies, making available many new features, more power and added flexibility for customers,” says Terry Carver, Pelco API Business Development Manager. “This integration solution provides an intuitive, easy-to-use graphical user interface, which ultimately reduces the amount of training required to operate and maintain the security system, therefore improving overall operator efficiency.”

According to Carver, all video is transmitted across a Local Area Network (LAN) connection, and real time video can be automatically displayed in response to alarm events. Additionally, an operator can request real time and stored video from the alarm acknowledgment screen or from any input/output or camera icon.
